A Walk to Remember !! :-)

Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other peoples' sins but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.... 

This lines have been runnin in my mind repeatedly from the time i saw the movie.. A Walk to Remember. I know i am running in a back log by seein the classic movie so late.. But always, better late then never.  I am jus in a movie spree and i happened to come across this movie. I thought it would be yet another love story with a few dates, stolen kisses and happys endings.. But at the end of the 1 hour 45 mins i realized how ignorant i have been.  

The movie starts with a dare being performed by a guy to join a 'cool' gang of friends which ends in a disaster. So comes our hero Landon Carter who is about to be expelled but land himself an opportunity to get out of it by doin some community service and bein part of the spring play.. These were things he had shunned all his life. His life this way begins and he gets in touch with Jamie. Jamie is a patient whose days are numbered. There starts the true story as to how they get to know each other and start being friends. As the relationship blossoms and when he comes to know of Jamies long kept secret, he is devasted.  He starts living his life jus for her and fulfils every wish she had right from having a tatoo to building a telescope.  True love is in the eyes is  stressed so much in this movie.  He marries her and spends the summer with her until she passes away leavin her miracle(him) behind.  

This movie disturbed me so much. It made me think and rethink what love actually is. What we see today in this world is selfish love. A love which happens for great looks, lots of money and physical attraction. But love does mean somethin greater. It means sacrifice, acceptance, commitment and above all LOVE.... True love.. If there is true love u can accept the person as he is and he will change himself as u like cause he will know you are worth it. and this goes to all lvers out there. Do not misuse love, its above every emotion. Even in Dance the first emotion in the list is sringaram(love).  So keep loving...
