Couldn think of any other title.. I thot of using titles like My mom Bestest or Super mom and all that but then decided against it cause anyway all these things go without say.
Its Mothers Day !! Its not that you remember your mom only on this day, its jus the day you acknowledge her presence in your life more than any other day. All of us are really attached to our moms. Though we have dad, brothers, sisters everyone are always around us a mother plays a more important role than anything else. That too in my case the relationship i share with mom is really way far more important that all the other relationships already present, yet to come in my life. I very well know that whatever happens to me, the first person to react to it would be my mom good or bad. Thats where a MOM stands
To talk about my mom. She is a pillar of strength to me. Everyone might think its just another humbug where the daughters write for their moms on mothers day but I find this a very special thing. She never loses the faith she has on me. Whatever confidence I have today in me is what she shared with me from her heart. I boldly carry a piece of her on my shoulder. She feels so happy when people say " Lakshmi Ponnu avala maadriye.. Romba smart !!" (that I am jus like my mom.. Smart !!) She is really a smart person. Quite difficult to find one like her.
She tells me stories of her early marriage days where she was married off at 21 and she had to face a culture shock. A Chennai bred person in a Tanjore based family. But i always hear it from my aunts and granny how she so well adapted to it. All of them from my dads family love her. Thats kinda really a surprise cause In laws never like the daughter in laws as per policy. Thats where she stands. A very friendly caring and a bold person she is. Will carry anythin off with perfect ease.
All through these years she has been this really best friend to me and now being the bestest. I have never generally hid anythin from her except for that one something which she now knows. Even then she supports me through everything. You know whats special about a mom. She will support you, she likes it or not, if it does good to you-she will support you. A bundle of energy she holds and passes it on to everyone. Her enthusiasm is so so so contagious.
We live in an apartment with 72 flats and any apartment function, my mom is involved. People want her to be involved in arranging it. She will go out of the way to make people happy. Its so typical of amma to say " When four people are happy because of you, You feel satisfied". All my friends so love her and always say that my mom is awesome and cool !!.. I feel so proud bout it mom !!
Leave all those things. For the past 2 years now, my mom and I have shared this real great bond. She acts as a perfect bridge between me and my dad. Convinces both of us so easily and always thinks of what makes me happy. She has been spending so much on getting stuff which i like, making me feel the best and taught me the best secrets. She always keeps telling me " even if you are married and away, you will be my best friend and we will share the best bond" which is perfectly true. There have been so many places i have talked back to her really rude but still she d say "its better that you change - for your own good" Can you ever think of any other selfless relationship. She supports me for everythin. To her my life and my happiness stands first. I jus decided to leave my job now - she never even thought of anything else, jus said "If you don wanna go - Don go" She never tried to convince me to stay for this reason or that reason. She doesn console when i cry, rather gives me the strength and says how much i don deserve to cry.
A typical explanation for my mom would be 48 outside and 28 inside... I wouldn call her 48 outside also cause she always looks and dresses Chic and decent. She looks like this amazing modern yet a culturally strong mom. You know what her latest love is - Facebook and more things on computer. I always aspire to follow her values so much which i will try hard to. Today, am this strong, bold courageous and also beautiful(genetically- the foto will explain the rest) all because of her. I live here with her guidance support and mainly HER !!
Hey.. Its time.. I promised to get her nail polish, and am here writing down stuff.. I better get going !! Happy Mothers Day mom !! And to all the moms in the world !!!
